Frequently asked questions
I have dietary restrictions, how do I know what is safe to eat?
No problem! Just let us know in RSVP any allergies you have and we will take care of it.
Anything specific I should pack with me?
Good walking/hiking shoes besides summer clothes! We are planning to do some other events in addition to the wedding (cocktail even prior to wedding and/or brunch after the wedding) so have a set of semi-formal clothes with you. Check "Getting there"-tab to see more specific list what to do prior the trip.
Is Guatemala safe?
It is safe to travel in Guatemala. However, as with any Latin American country, it's advisable to follow certain safety measures. Avoid walking alone, especially late at night and refrain from using public transportation or taxis. Instead, opt for private tour operators.
What should be the duration of the trip?
If your vacation time is limited, a minimum a week trip is recommended, but if time allows, you can stay as long as you wish to fully relax and discover the many wonders of Guatemala. To avoid missing the wedding due to unexpected airline or traffic delays, it's advisable not to travel on the wedding day
Which places should I visit in Guatemala?
There's plenty of things to do around the wedding venue alone! Explore the rich history of Antigua, visit the marketplaces or take part on an organised tour to active volcano, Acatenango! If you are staying longer in Guatemala, plan to see the Mayan temples in Tikal, or take a trip to a volcanic lake Atitlán.
